Let’s Talk Climate: Taking Stock of Progress on Energy Efficiency Solutions Within the Energy Transition (funders only)

17 juin 2026 / Inscription ouverte

Prime Minister Carney has set a target of doubling clean energy in Canada, and boosting an ageing electricity system with limited capacity. Doing this affordably will mean a national priority to squeeze as much energy savings (i.e. the « demand side ») as possible out of the system. That will enable us to electrify our buildings, industry and transportation, and support Canadians as we build out the electricity system of the future. Along the way, we have an opportunity to create meaningful jobs and economic growth in every community in Canada, and support Canada’s most vulnerable populations. Corey Diamond, Executive Director of Efficiency Canada, will outline some key policy strategies that will help get us there and will share his assessment of what the barriers are, where power lies to influence this work, strategic lessons learned and Efficiency Canada’s current strategic approach to effecting policy change. Note that this conversation will not be recorded.
