Let’s Talk Climate: Funding the Future of Transit Advocacy in Canada (funders onlY)

April’s Let’s Talk Climate session will focus on the funding landscape for transit advocacy in Canada. Keith Brooks (Environmental Defence) will join representatives from transit rider advocacy groups (TTC riders and Movement) to discuss how grassroots organizing has delivered wins at the municipal level, including transit priority measures, more affordable fares, and service improvements. Speakers will also emphasize that lasting, high-quality transit requires coordinated and ambitious federal and provincial policy and funding, and what’s needed to advance a more robust national transit rider network to secure both.
