The Resurging Anti-Climate Movement – and How to Counter It

In this presentation, Geoff Dembicki, global managing editor of the investigative climate news outlet DeSmog, will share metrics showing how anti-climate influencers are out-competing pro-climate voices across traditional and digital media. He will explain how this torrent of content promoting fossil fuels is fueling a global anti-net zero movement that is influencing climate policy across Canada. Dembicki will identify key U.S. and Canadian leaders of this movement, as well as the people and organizations funding those leaders. And he will provide insights about how pro-climate organizations can counter this resurgence of climate obstruction.
