IPCA Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas Co-chaired by Meaghan Calcari Campbell, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and Joanna Kerr, MakeWay For Members Collaborate Funder Interest Groups Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas A regular gathering of funders interested in Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) and other Indigenous-led conservation approaches, with topical guest speakers and discussions. Goals include: To help funders have a shared understanding of how Indigenous communities across Canada are approaching and defining IPCAs, and how funders can best support IPCA development; to develop best practices and mutual accountability among funders to advance Indigenous-led solutions; and to share tactics, information, and opportunities to help enable and advance IPCA implementation, leveraging funders’ capacities and influence where appropriate.
